Watch your back!

So I've recorded loads of warm ups and exercises today to give some variation of the things you can do not only to get your voice going, but also to get you feeling the pulse and singing in time!

Our song for today is the very groovy 'Gather together and sing/ watch your back' by Pete Churchill.

Groove is the theme for this session, so really take your time to feel the rhythm!!

Warm ups

Oh when the saints go marching in

Oh when the saints go marching in

I want to be in that number,

Oh when the saints go marching in

Gather and sing/ watch your back!

Watch your back, or they'll fool ya

Before you know it they've captured your soul

They'll divide ya and they'll rule ya

Have you believing than everything is under control

Watch your back, or they'll mould ya

change your direction the moment you start

But just remember what I told ya,

that we are stronger together, than when we're apart

(Chorus) We've got to gather and sing as one,

Sing together in harmony

Walk this road we're travelling on

weave the threads of community

Shoulder to shoulder, hand in hand

Younger and older, here we stand,

All generations under the sun,

We will gather and sing

We will gather and sing as one!

Watch your back, or they'll change ya

You'll find your future is over and done

They'll redirect ya re-arrange ya

And your tomorrow has ended long before it's begun

Watch your back, or they'll burn ya

they'll smoke you out and poison your heart

But just remember they can't turn ya,

cause we are stronger together, than when we're apart

(Chorus) We've got to gather and sing as one,

Sing together in harmony

Walk this road we're travelling on

weave the threads of community

Shoulder to shoulder, hand in hand

Younger and older, here we stand,

All generations under the sun,

{We will gather and sing

We will gather and sing as one!} x 3
